Designing the Shine App’s Onboarding

How do you onboard a new user to an app that’s meant to feel like a friend? You ask them how they’re really doing.

In this redesign, I drew on user research and in-app engagement data to create a more personalized onboarding experience that connected Shine’s content offerings back to a user’s identity and goals.
